Celebrating Excellent Dads with Haggar Clothing and Steve Harvey



Have you told your loved ones how much you appreciate them lately? 2018 was the inaugural year of Haggar Clothing Co’s Hall of Fame Dads contest, created to honor the most outstanding fathers in the country. Corduroy Media, a San Francisco Bay Area video production company, partnered with Haggar Clothing Co. to create a video campaign for this contest. Our very own Producer/Director Brandon Mason and Creative Director/DP Sean Donnelly flew out to Jacksonville, Florida to direct an inspiring video that celebrates last year’s winner, Dawaun Smith. We had the honor of telling Dawaun's story; he is an incredibly resilient father of four-year-old twins and an eight-year-old cancer-surviving son with Down Syndrome. The Steve Harvey Show has been broadcasting an ongoing segment featuring our footage from the Hall of Fame Winner Documentary.




Leading up to the contest, we produced two other videos that encouraged people to nominate their fathers. For the first promotional film, Corduroy Media interviewed people in-studio about the profound influence that each of their fathers has had on them. The second video stars NFL Hall-of-Famer Emmit Smith, who encourages daughters and sons of incredible fathers to enter their dads into the contest and describes the prizes including a trip to the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Ceremony.
