You Know How To Give Your Audience Facts. How Do You Give Them A Feeling?
We’ve all heard it before, content is king. You know this, we know this, so the question remains: how do you get and keep people watching? It’s simple: create an emotional response. But how do you create that response? First, we need to understand your story, your purpose, your value and the problem that will resonate with your audience. What is that one thing that is going to get them nodding their head in recognition? Then we discover the messages that will support that response. So, we can make your audience, you know… feel something.
The Project: Aruba Networks, an HPE Company.
Aruba Networks came to Corduroy Media with a purpose and a seed concept. They wanted to produce an anthem film inspired by the Warriors 75th Anniversary Video. The brand film was to be used to open up Atmosphere 2022, their first in-person user conference in over 2 years.
Through our experience, working with Aruba for nearly a decade and a fresh round of discovery, we uncovered Aruba's unconventional path to industry wide success. And how they earned a spot amongst the monolithic names in the space. Think: David and Goliath.
With that in mind we knew the emotional response we wanted from our audience: pride, inclusion…the feeling of being part of something bigger. Aruba’s size, reach and success expanded but their focus remained on the impact their work had on people's lives. The world stopped in many ways during the pandemic, and access to connection became even more essential. On our Oakland sound stage, we highlighted this moment in history among many others to remind the audience the true value of the work.
Here’s what our client had to say about it:
Can’t tell you how many people have reached out to me to say how much they love the video. Sales leadership said “it’s like a Super Bowl quality video”…Antonio Neri (HPE CEO and President) loved it. Our new leader, Phil Mottram (Aruba Networks President) loved it. And the list goes on. Thank you guys so much…this is one to remember always!
